General Links

The links here should be useful to just about every student in engineering, and are worth a look just in case you missed out on something.

  • Bear Scat

The student-run, student-maintained (it has been taken over by the Student
Union) alternative to Bear Tracks for course planning. For the purposes of designing your
course schedule, Bear Scat is *much* better - clean interface, and no-hassle
course selection. If you haven't tried it, be sure to do so - it'll
    				save you hours of frustration.

  • Bear Tracks

All students are familiar with this one - exam schedules, grades, school finances
and more can be found at Bear Tracks. It's the main website for things to
    				do with student administration.

  • Web CT

Many courses have their online sites on Web CT for U of A students. I found
it difficult to nail down their URL (they use Javascript and all with their
    				links), but here's a "bookmark-able" link.

Miscellaneous Links

Also important are the following links which should be pretty self-explanatory by themselves:

Course-Specific Links

  • Chris Chan's Website

I first thought of putting up my course material when
I saw Chris's website - he archived his material all the way from
    			his first year.
While it doesn't contain everything, the site
still remains a valuable resource for students who are looking for
sample midterms and finals with solutions.

  • Student Union Exam Registry

A great source for sample midterms and finals in just about
every course. The snag here though is that solutions are not
included. The exams are still useful if you need extra
practice and if your friends are working on the same sample
exams so that you can check your solutions.

  • Math and Applied Sciences Centre

They have Midterm and Final reviews for many common engineering
courses (most first year courses and a few second year ones).
I highly recommend taking their reviews - its a worthwhile
investment for the insight they provide for the exams.
