HPAIR Academic Conference 2006
The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) Academic Conference for 2006 was held in Singapore; it was an absolutely amazing experience, learning and speaking together with top students from around the world!
Thank you for the Opportunities...
First of all, I'd really like to thank Shell Canada - it was with their generous scholarship that I could fund the trips to both Harvard conferences, and I am extremely grateful for being given this great opportunity. Interestingly enough, DaimlerChrysler's presentation on "Energy for the Future - Alternative Fuels" (above picture) included Shell as one of their major partners in planning for their future growth, and I also met a representative from Shell in HCABF.
Certainly, I want to also thank the University of Alberta, Office of the Registrar and Student Awards for considering me for the scholarship through the Undergraduate Leadership Awards. It's quite a prestigious one, and I'm very humbled and thankful for their decision. I also want to thank the Faculty of Engineering, the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department, and the Engineering Co-op Deparment; their continued support and advice allowed me to grow and progress from one opportunity to another.
... And Thank you for the Memories!!!
Last but not least, the HPAIR and HCABF staff and their respective Host Country Organizing Committee (HCOC) staff for making all of this possible, as well as the fantastic delegates from all over the world to make the experiences unforgettable. I learned a lot from the conferences, but it was the involvement of the delegates and staff that helped forge the bonds and memories that I will cherish for the years to come. Thank you so very much guys!!! :P
