Harvard College Asian Business Forum (HCABF) 2006

This year, HCABF was held in Mumbai, India, an especially sensitive place to be at given the bombings there a few months beforehand and with the topics discussed on India's bright future. It was, nevertheless, a life-altering experience, and I strongly recommend those with a strong passion in such matters to apply next year. Please also visit my page of Thanks to the people who I truly am indebted to for my wonderful experience!

Mumbai, India

India was amazing. While we learned a lot through the conference and the various business executives of several MNCs, just being in India itself, the country of which much of the discussions on growth and potential surrounded, was an experience in itself.

Take the picture above. I took it at a marketplace in Mumbai; it includes, among other things, the sign for Internet use at 15 Rupees (~ $0.50 CAD), and I thought that through the busy marketplace, frentic and at times chaotic, it was a potent reminder of India's slow but sure growth as an economic superpower through its emergence as a global (to local) I.T. provider.

Below are select pictures from the ones I've taken (the entire photo selection of ~780 pictures can be found at Flickr). Enjoy!
